Gabon is a West African nation known for its dense rainforests. The rainforests in Gabon cover as much as 80% of its territory with almost 11% of this existing within national game reserves. In efforts to preserve its rainforests, Gabon formed partnerships with institutions such as the University of Oregon. The largest public university in Gabon is the Universite Omar bongo founded in 1970. The institution is has programs that run in partnership with the Cesar Ritz tourism school in Switzerland. Students taking courses at this or other partnering institutions can consider taking a semester in Gabon. In addition this institution, other good schools include Institut Superieur De Technologie and Institut Universitaire Des Sciences De L’Organization. All these institutions are located in Libreville and ensure your study in Gabon will be comfortable.
