Students wishing to spend part of their university time abroad in a heaven oasis should definitely consider Barbados. The country has literacy rate close to 100%, which is evidence of their sound education system. In addition, all classes are taught in English, making it a perfect choice for most international students.

There are three higher education institutions in Barbados to choose from, each with its own set of courses. Applications are usually accepted online, but it is always a good idea to contact your own faculty adviser to see if he or she could mediate the process. Foreign students can typically enrol for a semester or two, although summer programmes are also organised. Accommodation for foreign students is typically guaranteed in dorms, but you are permitted to look for other housing options as well.
