Uprising in Fiji

We’ve just spent a weekend at the Uprising Beach Resort. We’d heard it was the “Adventure Capital of Fiji”, and that certainly was true. Staying in an authentic Fijian Bure right on the waterfront, seeing beautiful sunset, hearing the waves lapping onto the golden sand, feeling a gentle breeze through the palm trees wax as idyllic as it gets.

Uprising in FijiWe were there with our two grandsons while their parents were at a wedding. It was a awesome place for the boys, especially seeing the fun they had in the pool. There were lots of family groups there. The staff even made a point of learning the boys names and were very friendly.

Uprising offers the chance to relax on the deck of your Bure, enjoy a swim in the pool, or take advantage of the many activities available. Trek through the rainforest to amazing waterfalls, jet ski across the Beqa Lagoon, or try the worlds Ultimate Shark Dive. There are kayaks, bamboo rafting, local villages and access to some of Fiji’s finest adventure and Cultural Day Tours.

Uprising in FijiThe meals at the restaurant, as well as a snack and pizza menu available outside regular meal hours, were great.

We found the staff to be efficient and very friendly, always ready to help with a smile.

We’d thoroughly recommend the Uprising, if you’re looking for a beautiful spot to relax, enjoy the beach, or set the adrenaline running with the adventures available.
