Andorra is a tiny landlocked country tucked away high in the Pyrenees Mountains between Spain and France. Largely a mountainous region, its lakes, rivers and forests provide some of the most stunning views and more than three hundred days of sunshine in a year.

Andorra is a rich, peaceful and safe country. It has no national bank and no currency of its own. Andorra is not officially a Euro-zone member, nor is it an EU member. It does enjoy a special relationship with these bodies. The country has not signed the Schengen Treaty, and since it does not have its own airport, you can only access it through France or Spain. Both of these are signatories to the treaty.

It is a duty free zone and its residents pay absolutely no taxes of any kind. Residents enjoy a free internal postal system, virtually no crime, free healthcare for everyone (except non-citizen residents), free schools and even a lot of the entertainment is free.

Andorra is the only co-principality in the world. Meaning it has not one prince but two princes sharing the position. The President of France is one of the princes and the bishop of Urgell is the other. While the position does not come with any significant power, both princes have to jointly exercise authority.
