London is a great place to visit if you are planning a luxury trip. The city is full of historic grandeur of the past. It is posh and traditional and is flexible to suit individual desires. London offers a diverse and exciting city break and is filled with hundreds of entertainment options. Adding luxurious elements to your London break will make your trip special and memorable.

So, what can you do to create a fun and enjoyable trip to London?

Bask in Luxury at a Plush Hotel

When your day has been filled with seeing the sights or some serious retail therapy, there is nothing more welcoming that a lavish hotel suite to relax in.  The Park Grand hotels are a great choice for this. Each of the 4* hotels in the collection has its own unique character shaped by the architecture, history, and location of the building. The 4* Paddington Court London Hotel is a prime example of this with its elegant exterior revealing glimpses of the striking contemporary style waiting inside.

Enjoy Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea in London is a luxury event and perhaps one of England’s most quintessential traditions. There are many afternoon tea venues to choose from including an orangery, a Japanese garden, department stores and a vast number of parlours, cafes, and brasseries. Afternoon tea menus consist of indulgent finger sandwiches, cakes, and pastries.

Hire a Chauffeur Driven Car

London has one of the best running Public Transport Network in Europe but the Tubes and the buses can get really busy at times. For a more luxurious form of travel, hire a chauffeur driven car. You, and whoever you are travelling with, will feel like royalty as you travel in style and comfort from your Paddington Court accommodation, or any of the hotels near Paddington Station, to anywhere you care to go.

You can even as your driver to treat you to a tour of London’s famous landmarks. The city has four world heritage sites including the Tower of London, Kew Gardens, historic settlement of Greenwich and Palace of Westminster. Other famous landmarks include Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, The Gherkin, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square, and Wembley Stadium.

One of the best ways to relax after a non-stop day exploring the city is by unwinding at the spa. While you are in London treat yourself to some genuine luxury and enjoy a day that is all about you. Enjoy beauty treatments, messages, and time in the sauna for a luxury trip you won’t forget.

Visit Celebrity Hotspots

London is one of the best places to catch a glimpse of celebrities. You never know where you are going to see a famous face. It could be at a posh restaurant, in a club or at the theatre. There is usually an opportunity somewhere in the capital to get an autograph or take a selfie with the rich and famous.

Some of the popular celebrity hotspots include: Mayfair (bar/club), Momo (Moroccan restaurant and bar), Café de Paris (West End bar/ restaurant) and The Ivy London (West End bar/restaurant).

Dining at 135 – London Eye

If money is no option when it comes to luxury, then Dining at 135 is a truly fabulous dining experience for up to 8 guests. The London Eye will open exclusively for you out of hours. The evening begins with a champagne reception, followed by a luxury 3 course gourmet meal by Rhubarb Food Design and with fine wine from Layton’s wines in an exclusive private capsule. This really isn’t a cheap evening out though as Dining at 135 experiences will set you back £8500.

Visit the Green Spaces

Hyde Park, Regent’s Park and St James’ Park are magical in the spring with flowers everywhere. They are perfect places for relaxing on a sunny afternoon and each offers different activities and sights to see.

GardenFun activities

London is never short of ideas for fun things to do. Why not try climbing to the top of the O2 at sunset to get a breath-taking view over London, trapeze outside in some of London’s parks, or travel on a speedboat at high speeds along the Thames with some funny music like the James Bond theme tune.

The cost of luxury travel can really add up; with business or first class flights, luxury hotels and menus at upscale restaurants. When planning a luxury trip, it is important not to compromise on quality. Here are some tips for travelling in luxury without breaking the bank.

Go Out Of Season

During high season, such as summertime, school holidays and Christmas season, prices for some places sore. Travelling in low season can be a risk with the weather, so a good time to travel is just as the high season is turning into the low season. During this period hotels, will be slightly cheaper, the weather will be slightly cooler and the cities will be less crowded.

Plan Ahead

Try to opt for early bird deals when booking travel and accommodation. You will receive a better rate and won’t miss out on your preference by booking last-minute. Often, if you book direct through the hotel website, you will receive discounts for booking early. Receiving early bird discounts may mean that you have to pay the total cost upfront so be aware of this before you confirm your booking.

Look for Set Menus and Lunch Deals

Michelin star meals, trendy restaurants, cocktails, and champagne…the cost can soon add up while you are on holiday. For a chance to try delicious cuisine of popular restaurants, go for a set menu or dine at a cheaper time of day. By doing this you will be able to sample great food without the high price tag.
