Taking selfies on a smartphone has become an incredibly popular way to document a trip abroad. No longer are holiday-makers putting their photographic remembrances into a physical photo album, but are uploading them to social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and especially Instagram. London is an incredible place to take a selfie as there are so many landmarks that are worth visiting. Travellers want to remember their trip in the best possible way, so they should note down where to head for the best selfies in London. That way they can plan their holiday to include as many top attractions in this amazing capital.

Buckingham PalaceOne of the most iconic places to go in London is Buckingham Palace that is a fascinating place both inside and outside. The likelihood of getting a photograph with the Queen is slim but there are numerous ways to have a great time taking selfies here. To get the ultimate selfie with the whole palace, travellers should venture to St James’s Park where they can also take a closer shot at the gates. Tourists should also have a picture taken with a palace guard or during the excellent Changing of the Guard ceremony that takes place most days at 11.30am. Another superb location to visit is the beautiful Tower Bridge that’s ideal for selfies and if tourists angle their camera a certain way they can also get in the Tower of London.

St Paul’s Cathedral is a magnificent piece of architecture and should be seen on a visit to London. To get a lovely photograph of this the selfie should be taken while standing on the Millennium Bridge. Excellent selfie shots with top views can also be taken from the famous London Eye and the wonderful Primrose Hill, in Regent’s Park. The latter truly provides one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the capital. Staying in London it is important for tourists to find the best place to book when on holiday or there for business.

Tower of LondonThere are many excellent hotels in central Londonthat are ideally located near several these landmarks and attractions. If searching for great luxury hotels, The Marble Arch by Montcalm London accommodation must be top of the list. It has complimentary Wi-Fi internet and guests can also head to the excellent Spa at The Montcalm across the road from this residence to its sister hotel. This outstanding property is found within minutes of Oxford Street and has many outstanding rooms and suites filled with modern amenities.

Views do not get much better than from the city’s Shard building that is an important part of the London skyline. Tourists can head to one of the attraction’s restaurants or bars and take a selfie that will be around 800 feet high. There are many historic landmarks around the city of London and two of the best that are close to each other are the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. A great tip for a fantastic picture is for travellers to stand on Westminster Bridge to get a good shot with the stunning clock face. Visitors in the city can also venture to the South Bank area of the Thames to ensure they get both amazing sights in their picture.
