There are more than 20,000 students from over 100 countries studying in Ukraine’s 300 plus institutions of higher education. There are a number of reasons why so many students turn to Ukraine when it comes to their studies. Many of the universities cater to English speaking students. Most of the classes are conducted in English and students can get by with little or no Ukrainian or Russian. For students interested in studying in native languages, one preparatory year before starting the actual program is required.

Ukraine has understandings with governments of over 150 countries and departments of various universities for co-operations in facilitating students. Roughly half of all the international students study in Ukraine’s medical facilities. All degrees given to international students are given by the Ministry of Education & Science of Ukraine and recognized around the globe.
