There are many reasons why Montenegro is favoured by international students for studies. The foremost of which is the fact that all educational institutes follow European Union standards. So the degrees are recognized the world over. Other reasons include the cheaper tuition and living costs as compared to the rest of Europe. The students are able to work to foot partial, if not most of the cost of studies. Graduates from Montenegro have the best chance of getting immigration and working in Europe.

While almost all undergraduate studies are carried out in the native language, students are allowed to start their undergraduate program without the loss of a year while mastering the language. This is due to the way the programs are set up.

To make transition into higher education in Montenegro easier, free language courses are offered to help prepare students. The Program Standard Montenegro allows students to learn the language online through skype before coming to the country. The students can join the program in their final year of high school in their home countries, thus saving time and money.  The Program Universal Montenegro allows students to partially cover the course in their home countries and complete the rest of it when they reach Montenegro.

Students also have the option to study and experience the country for shorter durations, by taking one of the large varieties of courses offered in the summer. Courses last from three to six weeks in subjects like dance, cooking, history as well as intensive courses in local language.
