Tourists taking a trip to central London will have a list of attractions and landmarks that they definitely want to visit. Hyde Park will certainly appear on there as it is one of the best city parks in the world. This lovely green space is perfect for travellers who want to get away from the busy nature of London streets. This tranquil oasis provides a lush landscape filled with numerous activities to keep visitors engaged. Hyde Park is quite large so tourists should work out what it is that they want to see first at the beginning of the trip. This destination is ideal for families but is equally as good for couples looking for a romantic day out.

HydeparkFirstly the park is just completely perfect to sit in on the grass or a bench and read a book or magazine. It is a wonderful place to watch people walk by and is the right choice for relaxing. A brilliant spot to unwind in the park is the Diana Memorial Fountain that’s a magnificent sculpture dedicated to the late Princess. It is visited by thousands of tourists every day and in the summer months is the best place for travellers to dip their toes in the water. Families will enjoy heading to this park as children can enjoy themselves at the Diana Memorial Playground that has a huge wooden pirate ship at its centre as well as a sensory trail.

In an ideal situation travellers want to be able to walk out of their residence and get to the park in minutes. Tourists should pick the Admiral Hotel London Paddington as it is mere moments from this popular green space. Housed in a Grade II listed building this hotel is found in Sussex Gardens and offers beautiful bedrooms. They contain a range of modern amenities such as Wi-Fi internet that is perfect for checking emails. This is one of the best hotels near Paddington Station London allowing guests to easily travel around the city.

Visitors can easily spend a whole day at this destination as there are plenty of eateries available in and around the park. Travellers can purchase food and drink that they can enjoy by creating a picnic to have on the grass or sit on the benches. Tourists visiting this green space can also head out on a pedalo on the beautiful Serpentine Lake. Each boat can hold up to six people and there is also the Solarshuttle, which is a wonderful 40-person vessel powered by the sun.

If visitors in London are fans of the monarchy then they should definitely visit Kensington Palace that is found next to the park. This gorgeous piece of architecture is actually a working royal residence that houses Princes William and Harry. There are many historic parts of this building that are worth seeing and tourists should certainly try out the tasty afternoon tea at the Orangery restaurant. Travellers should also head to the Serpentine Galleries at the centre of the park to see some amazing contemporary art work.
