It is important to understand the Danish mind-set and culture if one wishes to succeed in the Danish workforce. Danes frown upon changes and are not high risk takers. Foreign labor means both of these things. Also a majority of the Danish companies are small and thus, fall in the low risk taking group. Hence, in order to get ahead in the Danish workforce means adapting the Danish way of life. It means learning the Danish language even if one is employed in an English speaking environment. It also means learning the Danish culture and customs. It means reaching out to the Danish people. If one succeeds at this, they will find that Danish people are very loving and welcoming people.
