Experience Peru while Caring for Neglected Children

Experience Peru while Caring for Neglected Children

Volunteer in Peru and care for vulnerable children, youth from low-income backgrounds, and struggling communities.

Further Details

Extreme poverty and violence led to the migration of millions from rural areas to the capital city of Lima over the past decades. This process has left thousands of children homeless or neglected.

Our host partner provides loving and safe "homes" to vulnerable children in Lima, a chance for a fulfilling future. Global Volunteers works in partnership with a public children’s home to offer compassionate support in various ways. Most importantly, volunteers have the chance to provide what children crave the most for: love and attention.

Families and individual volunteers can contribute to childcare and labor projects to change children's futures!

But Global Volunteer’s work is not limited to children. We also help university students from low-income backgrounds. Volunteers are needed to teach English to youth and adults that seek for better professional and academic opportunities.

Finally, Global Volunteers also helps struggling communities. Groups are invited to work in a shanty town alongside the community in various labor projects.
